The neighborhood of Harlem is flush with elegant architecture and charming brownstones. It is also at the center of African-American history and culture with historic churches and theaters and sites associated with the Harlem Renaissance. After your tour enjoy a taste of soul food at one of the area restaurants.

Explore the rich history of Harlem with your camera in your hand. Photo opportunities include:

Your NYC photo tour starts with a brief lesson on photography complete with visual elements. There will also be time during the tour for you to ask questions about photography or your particular camera if you wish to do so.

Historical commentary is provided and at various locations on the tour you will be given time to explore that particular area with your camera. You will discover new insights and learn new skills that will inspire you to become a better photographer.
